This is really huge. I mean, really, really huge. President Biden just signed the American Rescue Plan Act and within this $1.9 trillion plan, tucked nice and neat, is $200 million for IMLS and $7 billion (BILLION) for libraries to provide technology and technology training to patrons to enable an increasingly work-from-home culture and bridge the digital divide.

This is legitimately historic and the greatest win that libraries have seen in a long time. It’s also the largest increase the IMLS has seen, well, EVER.
